Festive Candle and Diffuser Making Workshop - Saturday 7th December - 2pm - 4pm - Kingfisher Studios, Crawley Mill. Witney OX29 9TJ

In this beautiful riverside setting you will learn the art of making your own scented jar candles and twisted reed diffusers and you will make your own candle and diffuser to take home on the day.

The session will show you how to make a candle from start to finish with lots of useful information about where to source ingredients and comparisons between the various containers, waxes, wicks, scents and labels available.

You will also make your own twisted reed diffuser to give your home a lovely festive scent.

The course will provide a step by step guide to making jar candles from choosing the right container, wax , wicks and fragrance to preparing the work area, wicking the container, melting the wax and adding the fragrance. I will then demonstrate how to correctly pour the wax to ensure a smooth and professional looking finish.

Candle safety will also be covered as well as other aspects of candle making such as using coloured wax and adding petals and seeds.

Please wear old clothes or bring an apron!

Tea, coffee, Elderflower and mince pies will be provided but please feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks too.
