Block Printed Footstool Making Workshop - Saturday 28th March 2026- 10am - 4.30pm - Bampton Village Hall OX18 2JH

Join us in the lovely village of Bampton and learn to make your own beautiful Indian block printed footstool using fabric that you have printed by hand.  In the morning you will have a block printing demonstration and then you will practise until you are ready to print the fabric that will be used to upholster your footstool.  You will be able to choose from a wide variety of wooden blocks and paint colours to create a design that is unique to you and which complements your home decor.

After lunch you will be given a step by step guide on how to assemble and upholster your footstool.  Marea and Helen will teach you the basics of upholstery and assist you as you build your own footstool from scratch.  There will be a choice of different styles of legs for your footstool so that you can select a design to suit your own taste and that complements your block printed fabric.
